I just adore this image myself.
It’s a slightly stronger composition without the boat but I love the idea of the collision! The island is in Dalkey, known as The Muglins, the lighthouse is 130years old.

I was awarded a bronze IPPA award for this image, in the landscape category.

Misty Morning Obelisk

I shot this early one misty morning, into full sun, which was hidden behind the Obelisk.

The Obelisk is located on Killiney hill, County Dublin.I exposed for the shadows, as I love silhouettes.
A small bit of post-processing in Adobe bridge really helped bring it to life.
What really made it special for me, was waiting for someone to give it a bit of scale, Due to the dense mist, Mick the local groundsman was unaware I was even there.

I was awarded a silver IPPA award for this image, in the landscape category.
